Yes. Most foundation cracks, whether hairline shrinkage cracks or wider structural cracks, can be permanently sealed and stabilized using epoxy or polyurethane injection, without full excavation. The right method depends on whether the crack is structural, water-related, or both, which is exactly what our free inspection is for.
Width is one factor, but not the only one. As a general rule, cracks wider than about 1/4 inch, cracks that are actively growing, cracks with a diagonal or stair-step pattern, or cracks accompanied by doors and windows that no longer close properly all warrant a professional inspection.
Cost depends on the length, depth, and cause of the crack, along with which injection method it needs. Because every foundation and every crack is different, we give every homeowner a free, in-person quote rather than a generic number that may not apply to their situation.
Small, hairline cracks are common in poured concrete foundations, especially in the first couple of years as concrete cures and settles, and are often cosmetic. Wider cracks, actively growing cracks, or cracks that leak water are not something to leave unaddressed.
Surface sealants like Flex Seal can temporarily slow a minor leak, but they don't bond a structural crack back together or create a permanent seal against water pressure from outside the wall. For a lasting fix, an injection repair performed from within the crack itself is the more reliable option.
